Black and white portrait of HSA

WHY
EVERYTHING
CHANGED.

The old songs opened the door. The new sound is what came through it.

01

For the first couple of years, HSA was about figuring things out.

I was experimenting with genres, production, vocals and different ways of writing. A lot of the time I was making music based on what I thought other people might enjoy, rather than asking myself the more important question.

Would I actually want to listen to this over and over again?

Would I be excited to stand on a stage and perform it?

Eventually, the answer became impossible to ignore.

At the end of last year, while travelling through South America and Australia, something started to shift. I was changing, experiencing more, seeing more and feeling more, and I realised the music needed to evolve with me.

That was when the sound started to make sense.

Indie. Electronic. Pop.

Atmospheric, confident and emotional, with enough space for the lyrics to actually breathe.

It felt like I had finally found the world these songs were supposed to live in.

02

THE SONGS WERE NEVER THE PROBLEM.

I write every lyric myself.

For me, songwriting has always been a way of saying the things I probably would not say otherwise. I am a pretty closed person in everyday life, so a lot of what I think and feel ends up somewhere inside the music.

That is why I could never just leave some of those songs behind.

I still loved what they were saying.

I still loved the stories.

I just knew they deserved to sound more like me.

The earlier versions will always matter because they remind me how far I have come in two years of making music. I am proud that they existed. But I was also completely comfortable taking some of them out of the public space because I believe in where HSA is going now that much more.

This is not about pretending the old music never happened.

It is about giving the songs the version they were always waiting for.

03

OH MY STARTS IT.

OH MY is the first song to come back through this new world.

It is the first reworked release and the first proper statement of where HSA is heading.

More confident. More atmospheric. More intentional. More me.

It is also the first release I have written, produced and created completely by myself at home in my own studio.

No external help.

That means a lot to me.

For the first time, every part of the song feels connected to the same idea and the same version of who I am as an artist.

And genuinely, I think it is my best song yet.

04

THIS IS WHAT HSA FEELS LIKE NOW.

I want HSA to feel like somewhere you can step into.

A world that feels open, authentic, fun and a little deeper than it first appears.

I want the music to have a vibe, but I also want there to be something underneath it. Something you can find yourself in.

A lyric that says something you could not.

A feeling you thought was only yours.

A song you come back to because it understands where you are.

If the old music was me searching for the sound, this is me finally trusting it.

And this is only the beginning.

The first release from the new world
